Information from a citizen, approached by two males wanting to sell stolen firearms, leads to the arrest of three people in Humboldt, Nebraska on felony weapons charges.
Richardson County Sheriff Randy Houser says after receiving the information from the Humboldt citizen Wednesday morning, a plan was established to have the guns exchanged for money at a location in Humboldt.
Houser says with the assistance of the Nebraska State Patrol, the three suspects were taken into custody Wednesday afternoon...( play audio )
The firearms involved in the case were a .22 caliber rifle and a 20-gauge shotgun.
20-year-old Travis Ries, a Pawnee County native, is facing charges of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and possession of a stolen firearm.
Ries was released from prison September 25th of last year after serving a Richardson County sentence for robbery.
18-year-old Robert Luallin, who lives in Lincoln, is facing a charge of possession of a firearm.
And 19-year-old Breanna Swanson, believed to be from the Omaha or Plattsmouth areas, is also charged with possession of a firearm.
All three are expected to make appearances in Richardson County Court on Monday.
