The Seneca Fire Department responded to fifty-one fire calls last year.
That includes 18 within the city limits and 33 rural calls.
The fire department presented their annual report to the Seneca City Council Wednesday evening and officers for 2012.
Brian Rusche will continue to serve as fire chief; Tom Scott as 1st assistant chief and Allen Henry as 2nd assistant chief.
The council approved a request from the fire department to purchase a 2003 Chevrolet Crew Cab 4 X 4 from State Surplus in Topeka for $7,500.
The pickup will replace a 1990 truck, which the department plans to sell.
The council was told the 2003 truck needs some work done to it.
