Efforts are underway to turn Muscotah‘s old water tower into a museum and visitors center in honor of Muscotah native and Baseball Hall of Famer Joe Tinker.
Organizer Jeff Hansen of Muscotah says a meeting will be held this ( Thursday ) evening at 7 o‘clock at the Muscotah City Hall to form a steering committee to work on the project.
Hansen says those interested in helping in the efforts are invited to attend to the meeting.
The old 35-thousand gallon water tower was moved last week from the north end of the Atchison County community to it‘s new home just north of U.S. 159 Highway.
