Maur Hill-Mount Academy has hired a new head football coach for the upcoming 2010 season. Brandon Wilkes takes over the Raven program after spending the past two years coaching football and basketball in Colorado. Wilkes was a former player at Avila University in Kansas City and served as an assistant coach there for two seasons.
Wilkes, who met with his players for the first time on Monday takes over for Chris Prestegard who was 2-34 the past four years. The Ravens have a current 28 game losing streak in their program and like rival ACCHS are making the transition this year from the Big 7 to the Delaware Valley League.
